Westwind Chevrolet Pontiac Buick GMC Ltd. began operations in Claresholm, Alberta on September 7th, 2005. The dealership was purchased by John Davis and his business partner, Dan Ellsworth from Ken Beauchamp, whose family owned and operated the dealership for 28 years in its present location.

John Davis has been a General Motors dealer since becoming a partner in his father's dealership in Fort Macleod, in 1975, before moving to Lethbridge to operate Davis Pontiac Buick GMC. in 1989. Since that time John has purchased General Motors dealerships in Westlock, Barrhead, and Fort Macleod and now in Claresholm.

Dan Ellsworth has been involved in many different aspects of the automotive industry for many years since marrying Kim (Lane), who was born in Claresholm and raised on her family's ranch west of town in the Porcupine Hills. Dan and Kim have two daughters.

Prior to John and Dan's purchase of the dealership, Chevrolet was the only product line available to the residents of Claresholm and the surrounding area through this dealership. All that has changed now as General Motors awarded John and Dan the privilege of being recognized as a four line General Motors dealership. As well as Chevrolet, the dealership now offers the popular Pontiac, Buick and of course GMC product line up to the Claresholm and area landscape.

John Davis is the President and Dealer Principal of the company and Dan Ellsworth has assumed the role as Executive Manager, charged with the day to day operations of the dealership. With the addition of the Pontiac, Buick and GMC products, the improvements to our Genuine GM Parts and GoodWrench Service departments not to mention to the improvements made to the current facility, John and Dan invite you to consider Westwind Chevrolet Pontiac Buick GMC.
